Hannu Huhtamo – Light Painter and Visual Artist
Hannu Huhtamo is a Helsinki-based photographer and visual artist whose work explores how the movement of light can reveal an alternate reality within darkness. Using the technique of light painting, he creates fantastical deep-sea creatures, minimalist animal figures, and mystical flowers—inviting viewers into a world where the stage is set by both the natural landscapes of Finland and the forgotten corners of the urban fringe.
His light drawings have been featured in magazines, books, blogs, music videos, and international news outlets. Hannu is also a member of the Valopaja art collective, which produces live light painting performances and conducts creative workshops for children and special groups.
