Nature, and especially wildlife, has been the greatest passion of 28-year-old Ossi Saarinen since early childhood. Around ten years ago, a camera joined his binoculars, and what began as a hobby has since evolved into his full-time profession. Alongside his personal photography projects, Ossi also offers private photography and nature guiding services.
Today, Ossi works in a highly project-oriented way, focusing for extended periods on specific species or natural areas. In recent years, his work has centered almost entirely on large carnivores, particularly lynxes, with whom he has now had nearly 50 encounters.
While he finds great joy and challenge in photography itself, what matters most to Ossi is the time spent in nature: observing animals and constantly learning more about them. He actively shares his work through social media, which has played a key role in shaping his career.
